For the Head

David's Beanie

His beanies are popular with his friends, who say, "can we 'borrow' your beanie David" and then keep them. Isn't that a nice thing for a knitter! My beanies are all over Wellington and Christchurch!

Jacque's Easy Beanie

After a few Dunedin mornings of temperatures below freezing, I decided it was time to make myself a warm woolly hat. I started it about 9.30 am and knitted on and off all day. I finished it about 7.30pm. So I reckon it took me about seven hours to knit. Not bad, eh!

Pumpkin Hat

Baby hat in double knit wool.

For the Neck

Collarette Neck Warmer

This makes a lovely light collarette to wrap round your neck, and it is so fine you can tuck it in against your skin, or over the collar of your blouse and under your coat or jacket.

For the Body

Dainty Knickers

The shaped lace stitch side panels add a dainty touch.

Warm Panties and Vest

Practical yet dainty, this short-vest and pantie set is made in 2-ply wool.

For the Feet

Clock Cable Socks

Double knit, two needle, Socks in Orange with Cable. Completed in two days, December 2004.

Super Easy Socks

Neat! I can make a pair of these in a day if I sit at it. More usually, I can make two pairs in a week. They are firm and suitable for under your joggers or work boots.

Heavy Double Knit Socks

I saw Kathryn outside cutting the gorse with snoppers, and wearing her huge gumboots, I was inspired to make these nice thick long socks. Kathryn is tall and so I made these a generous length, allowing for the possibility of some felting in those heavy gumboots.

Lace Panel Socks

I completed these in five days January 2005, and gave them to her on Carsten's first visit for dinner. We got tiddly on mudslides.

Pearl Stitch Socks

Double knit, two needle, Socks in Orange with a Pearl Stitch and Vertical Band Heel.

Twisted Socks

You can use this pattern for slipper socks round home, socks for boots or joggers, or bed socks.

Weaver Lace Socks (1)

Weaver Lace Socks (2)
